Problem

Failed to Login. Please contact system administrator for help.

Description: Expect external authentication data but did not get one.

Cause

Authentication settings in Site administrator -> Site users -> Authentication Settings is selected as "External Authentication"

If External Authentication is selected, ALM extracts username or email address from the header and use that to authenticate into Site administrator

Fix
  1. Login to database server
  2. Open siteadmin schema
  3. Select PARAMS table
  4. Change the value of EXTERNAL_AUTH_MODE to N
  5. Restart ALM service
